Adding a Customer Class

1. When you first enter the Customer Class option a Select An Option window will appear with the following options:

 

Select ADD.

2. At the Customer Class field, enter a two digit ID code. The code can be alphanumeric.

3. At the Customer Class Name field, enter a name or description to be associated with the customer class. The name/description can be up to 30 characters in length.

4. At the Gross Margin above the Line field, specify whether the gross margin is above or below the "bottom line". If set to Y=Yes, the customer class will be included as regular sales (above the line) on the various gross margin repots. If set to N=No, the customer class will be reported as a separate section (below the line) on the various gross margin reports. Examples of "below the line" classes would be inter-company groups, customers sold at cost, or customer classes that have a unique margin that needs to be reported separately on the various gross margin reports.

5. Command options will appear:

 

Select Add. The customer class has now been added to the system.

6. You will be positioned in the Customer Class field again in order to enter another customer class code. Press Enter to exit the Customer Class option.
